Tangled Sunflowers

These sunflowers were standing taller than I in my neighbor's field.  I enjoyed the way they  resembled a jungle, and tried to capture that with my painting.  The lower sunflower just didn't seem to 'pop' out the way I wanted, so I experimented with a little collage technique and layered painted pieces over each other to give it more depth.
