Click on image to enlarge Papa's Boots I used another pose from my favorite model (my grandson) to see if I could do a portrait in scratchboard. I knew I’d have to use watercolor to show the contours of his face, but the details in his blue jeans and shoes are all scratchboard technique. I love the starkness of the totally black background and think it makes the whole picture “pop”.
