The same bald-headed eagle I used for the “Sitting Free” portrait was used in this scratchboard portrait. I chose to show him flying free, even though he was at that present time being rehabilitated from an injury sustained by a bullet. He was flapping his wings while tethered to his handler’s arm – but seemed to enjoy the sense of air flowing under his wings. Original Sold
