Blooms & Thorns

Since many of my art shows are located in the Southwest, I’ve consciously started painting for that location’s preferences.  I snapped several beautiful shots of these blooming cacti during a rainy spring several years ago.  This watercolor is my interpretation of their fabulous blooms and spiny thorns.
